I am interested in Carr - I think he has some things right - but I think critical theory has more to tell us on this that is really about technology and human agency - which incidentlaly is a class I teach. I am interested in electronic technology, immersive and interactive media, and critical uses of technology in teaching. I am also interested in the politics of technological artifacts - in their 'morality' aka Bruno LaTour, and their gendered nature (aka Haraway and others).

I have a PhD in Rhetoric in Technical Communication and I studied critical theories of agency with Marilyn Cooper and critical theories of technology with Cindy Selfe. That was grad school - I am full-on radical now.
