I have an MLS from the University of Maryland ('05) and have worked exclusively in digital projects in libraries since then. As a graduate student I worked at MITH on a TEI project and then worked in Digital Collections and Research beginning as a graduate student and continuing until 2008. While there we developed a Fedora-based digital repository and I was involved in almost all parts of the program design: digitization standards, metadata, online interface, etc.

From there I moved to East Carolina University, where I headed the Digital Collections department. We also developed a digital repository there, but we also integrated the repository with the special collections department's primary discovery tool (EAD finding aids) creating a seamless online research environment.

I came to UVa in May of 2011 as the first Digital Archivist and was part of the AIMS grant project (with Yale, Stanford, and Hull) to develop workflow and methodology for managing born-digital content in libraries.

When not working I skate with the Charlottesville Derby Dames as Grëtel vön Metäl. This has nothing to do with technology, the humanities, or libraries, but does mean that I can throw a mean hip check.
