I have a bachelors from UVA in Anthropology and English (Poetry Writing), and cultural anthropology has had a huge impact on my worldview. I also have a background in community organizing and for a time ran a community center, a background I bring to my current role as a librarian. I see public space as supremely important, community centers as magical, and libraries as community centers. Oh, I like technology too, mobile, gadgets, apps, photography, all that good stuff. And have been developing a User Experience Design skillset (let's do some guerilla user research!).
